PortAventura unveils its first electric van

Sentil, the navarra company in charge of the services of vending PortAventura World, has begun to operate with an electric van developed by Jofemar, which additionally perform other support services within the park.

Sentil became the last month of January in exclusive operator of the services of vending on the premises of Port Aventura during the next four years, among other things by offering their services in response to the sustainability and respect for the environment.

Sentil will use electric vehicles adapted to perform the services contracted by the park. Jofemar Electromobility, a company specialized in the development of battery packs and solutions for electric mobility, will be in charge of developing them. In this case, the service of vending requires refrigeration systems special to achieve an optimal storage and transportation of products, always ensuring the cold chain.

Citroën Berlingo electric, which is adapted to PortAventura

In this case, the base model used by Jofemar is a van Citroën Berlingo. This features an electric motor with permanent magnets 60 kW (80 HP) of power and a maximum torque of 180 Nm powered by the new battery pack LiZell LMV24 developed entirely by the company, which is recharged by a charger 3 kW of power. Is able to offer an autonomy of 160 kilometers.

According to Jofemar “the packs LiZell guarantee the highest performance and safety, both of the pack as the cells, and an effective cost that improves the performance of almost any system of electric mobility”.
