The Dodge Challenger ran from 2008 to 2023 — 16 model years on the same LX platform, continuously updated. It was the last traditional American V8 pony car with a live rear axle, and the Demon 170 was its most extreme expression.

The Demon 170's 1.66-second 0–60 is faster than any production car ever made when it launched. It beat Bugatti Chiron, Koenigsegg Jesko, and every exotic costing 10× as much. American engineering at its most defiant.
The SRT Demon 170 was Dodge's farewell gift to V8 fans. Running on E85 fuel, it produced 1,025 hp and 0–60 in 1.66 seconds — setting a world production car record. Only 3,300 were built; all sold out instantly.
